Allied Health Wing
The West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission's Allied Health Wing opened its’ doors in the Fall of 2015 as an higher education facility for the allied health fields (only). The new Allied Health Wing (which is adjacent and adjoined to the new Raleigh County Campus of New River Community & Technical College) is home to Bluefield State College, Concord University, and New River Community & Technical College. In 2020, the WV School of Osteopathic Medicine moved its' South East Regional Operations to the Allied Health Wing. The state of the art facility includes designated and shared space consisting of laboratories, a conference room, four classrooms, and a faculty work area (which includes two faculty/student meeting rooms).
The Allied Health Wing is another example of a higher education collaborative (in southern West Virginia) working to meet the existing need for a more educated citizenry.
